Re: Fortnightly CQB Training

Mint, see you there Josh.

Hope to see some more of you there tonight guys. It's really chilled out and I'm more than happy to help you no matter your skill level. It's also not all Milsim stuff, a lot of it is just basic stuff you can utilize on the average game day.

We'll be using the aluminum targets tonight for instant target feedback as well as the IPSC silhouettes.

Re: Fortnightly CQB Training

Date: 26/06/13
Gates open: 1900
Start time: 1920
Lesson: Stoppage drills
Cost: $10

Here's a quick breakdown on what we are going to cover.

Stoppages with the primary
Different types of reload and when to do them
Stoppages with the secondary (if you have one)
El Presidente shoot with primary and secondary (if you have one)

What you will need:

Primary
Battery/Gas
At least 2 magazines
Pistol.
Gas.
At least 2 magazines.
A holster or the pouch you carry your pistol in.
Your vest/belt rig/chest rig, you fight in it hence you train in it.

See you all there, don't forget your $10.

For those that prepare your gear beforehand please only put 4 rounds into your pistol magazines and 1 plunge with the speed loader into your rifle/smg magazines. I want your weapons to be going down quickly, not 90rds later.

See you there, should be fun.

Alrighty, I'm IN for this.

Don't end up training 4 year olds in CQB tactics by accident sixthree!

Haha, my 4 year old can already place a linear charge and is slowly learning how to use a halligan tool.

Re: Fortnightly CQB Training

Date: 10/07/13
Gates open: 1900
Start time: 1920
Lesson: Urban movement and summary of shooting drills.

Due to the impending closure of the TTC I'm going to have to compress the lessons to achieve the original intent.

We will be conducting urban movement and room combat in the Arena We will have two floodlights running to illuminate this area from the back.

We will be working in pairs/teams.

I'm hoping to cover:

Use of cover as an aid to firing
Pairs fire and maneuver
IA drills withing the pair
combination drills (rifle/pistol)

What you will need:

Carbine
Pistol.
Gas.
Charged battery
At least 2 magazines for each weapon.
A holster or the pouch you carry your pistol in.
Your vest/belt rig/chest rig, you fight in it hence you train in it.

You will need some form of light to be able to see the targets in the darker areas.

See you all there, don't forget your $10.

Re: Fortnightly CQB Training

Date: 17/07/13
Gates open: 1900
Start time: 1920
Lesson: Urban movement and room combat.

Guys, sadly this will be the final training session in the TTC and Sneakers has kindly volunteered to open up on a week we normally wouldn't be running this.

As such I am jumping to the end of what I had planned and we will be working on 2,3 and 4 man movement and room combat. You are going to get a lot of information thrown at you quickly and we won't have as much time to revise but I have faith you will be fine.

We will be covering:

Corridor drills
Corner drills
T junction drills
Stairwell drills
2 man entry strong wall technique
3 man entry strong wall technique
4 man entry strong wall technique

What you will need:

Carbine
Pistol.
Gas.
Charged battery
At least 2 magazines for each weapon.
A holster or the pouch you carry your pistol in.
Your vest/belt rig/chest rig, you fight in it hence you train in it.

You will need some form of light to be able to see. We will have flood lights set up but they won't illuminate the rooms or the stairwells that well.

It has been great to see all of your skill sets develop and it has been very rewarding to impart the little knowledge I have to you. Thanks for taking the time to attend.

See you all there, don't forget your $10.
