This is a decision that was made last year at the same time as we revised our gun rules.

We are a club that plays a more tactical style of airsoft and the use of low cap magazines encourages this. Less spamming basically.

Its really being put in place to make the game more real because having a 300 round mag isnt really realistic.

And the date is to make sure everyone has them and not just some. And after using hi-caps and then low caps on the thompson i love using low caps lol nothing like having your heart pounding away in a fire fight and trying to reload a mag with bb's flying over head :D

Is there a file on the site that contains all the gun rules that I can look at so I am aware of all the rules to abide by?

another reason is look at our name... we are TACTICAL airsoft group.. the emphesis should be on tactics in our games.. not standing around spamming... lowcap mags also rarely have feeding issues like hicaps

Thanks for the clarification guys. Good to see the club is implementing its vision rather than just using the name for name's sake.

Well actually, the standard belt for the NZ Army C9 is 300 rounds (3 x 100 belts linked together).

I was discussing with Nem, that some scenarios might call for 1 hi-cap mag which then allows that rifle to be deployed as a squad weapon. Reality is that full auto is not often used in Army (typically 3 round bursts which are more accurate).

Thus the C9 airsoft equivalent would be limited to 1 or 2 per section in scenarios, allowing more tactics (that mimic real life) etc. 1 section = 10-14 people, so only good if 18+ people on the field.

Yeah but what i was meaning is that most rifles dont have 300 rounds per mag.

And belt feed guns are different to M4 or Ak mags for example :) but i agree some guns do have large mags.

As for the mags having feelings, i really dont wanna know what charles does to his mags to allow him to spam so much

Most TM low caps are around 60-70 rounds so the M14 is probably in the 70ish range.
