Re: New need help

as far as i know you need a parent to fill out some sort of consent form since you are under 18 unless you have a firearms lisence, but you wont have one since your 15 so yea parents consent is what you need. and i think they have to come along to the game to confirm their consent or something like that (as well as the form).
Anyways im sure Nematode or Spawn or another high ranking TAG member will clarify what ive just said so it makes more sense

Re: New need help

Hi there,

firstly welcome to the tag forums! I can't exactly remember how the under 16 thing works but what i do remember is you get 4 free trial games to see if you like airsoft and to also let us see how you go at airsoft.

Unlike paintball airsoft doesnt have paint splatter to tell you and the person shooting you that you've been hit. So its completely based on honesty. But in saying that alot of the time if you get shot and it hits you the person shooting at you can tell they have hit you. Either by sight or sound.

I'll let one of the committee members tell you how the under 16 thing works out.

Re: New need help

Hi there!

Again welcome to the TAG forums, although from what I remember the TAG Age restrictions to Airsoft used to be simply R18, or 16 with a Firearms Licence.
This was Later changed to R16 with Parental Consent to play airsoft, where a member of TAG or parents transport the airsoft weapon to the field of play.
In order to legally own an airsoft weapon in New Zealand, the owner must be over 18 years of age or hold a current NZ Firearms Licence.

I'll let a committee member confirm this but it looks to me that 16 years of age is our lower legal age bracket.

Re: New need help

You can hire a gun as its not illegal to shoot one in a controlled enviroment (e.g the TAG feild). But its illegal to own or transport an airsoft gun if you are 16 or under without a firearms licence.

Re: New need help

TAG do not allow anybody under 16 to play. The law in New Zealand does allow it, TAG does not.
