Game 19th FEB 2012
Hey Guys,
I had great first game out there with you guys on Sunday. It made me really wonder why the hell I stopped playing for so long.
I must apologise for packing a shit with, my gun and bailing early. I had no idea the RWC M4 was running hot (about 380fps). This guts me as I strive to be compliant with all club rules and the fact that I hadn't checked it early was just dumb.
I didn't stick around as my primary was dangerous, my secondary has only one Mag with my spare failing that morning and the sniper...as hot as it looks.. Hasn't been zeroed yet so would be a bit useless.
I haven't had a great run with guns in Airsoft I must say. My first, a beautiful TM SR16 ran great for about a year and a half but seized horribly and has been relegated to the too hard basket.
My JG Bar 10 - which I was bloody accurate with started to have bolt charging issues which after some investigating came back to the trigger sears. My side arm to go with the sniper was a TM EBB M92 (that wifey bought for me....) It rocked about 20fps if lucky and often I would just hold it and throw BB's at people.
Replaced that with a HFC GBB M92F which I can't complain about - bar the mag issues.
Bought a CA Steyr AUG A1 from UNco to replace my primary... Arrived D.O.A. Mech failure - unknown cause. After they refused to replace under shipping insurance I had a wee play to see if I could fix it but I'm not too flash in that department.
Got nasty with UNco and eventually they sent a replacement stock and Mech. Yay... Fitted it but I'm losing pressure some where so although it works...sorta... It tops out at about 50fps and is accurate to about 2 meters.
During that fiasco I purchased a RWC M4 with semi conversion. Gun arrived looks great and works great. Used it for Cobra but found the Hop Up quite fiddly. Running great now but can't be used as it is running too great and popping out BB's at 380+fps. Fml.
Well L96 - looks great, cammed it up with my old Bar 10 gear. Still needs tweaking as I don't think the Hop Up is sitting right - its a bit inconsistent but it's getting there.
Yeah yeah yeah, get to the point flame I hear you say?
Moral of the story: Who is handy at fixing guns and likes being paid in beer and spare AUG parts?
