Its a Cyma M14 which is 350 fps out of the box, should be ok.

If you think a CYMA anything is 350 out of the box you're gonna have a bad time.

Also, since our limit is 350, any variance above that 350 mark (which there is bound to be) will mean the gun is hot.
I would recommend trying to get the chrono before Sunday, or having a backup at the ready.
Re: CQB Sunday 10th June 2012
yeah I told him to check with me before he got it but you know how that goes lol. Hopefully its below 350 fps for his sake, whats the usual fps of a cyma m14? Ehobbyasia says about 330 with .20s
Re: CQB Sunday 10th June 2012
The three I've deal with were around 420, 420 and 440. It's no biggie though, you'll just need a new spring for it and you'll be fine. If you were to buy an M100 spring from TheArmoury you might get it before sunday, maybe. But then again, who wants to CQB with an M14? They're not exactly a compact weapon. So even if you don't get it sorted this by week, using a clubgun wouldn't be all that bad.

You reckon an M100 spring will be > 350? I threw an M100 into a brand new cyma M14 and it had it going at 420.
Save money on a new spring and just cut the one thats in there when it arrives.
Re: CQB Sunday 10th June 2012
With skullkings cyma m14 it came stock about 360-370fps, put a m100 which lowered it abit but was still over 350, so in the end just cut the original spring and put that back in.
Re: CQB Sunday 10th June 2012
Spring cutting was the plan if it was too high, would prefer someone do it thats done it before though
Re: CQB Sunday 10th June 2012
out again wolf pack run again
Re: CQB Sunday 10th June 2012
If anyone needs the crono zombie has it in the club box,if it's needed before Sunday,we can make arragments for a drop off thorsday.
Re: CQB Sunday 10th June 2012
Spring cutting is the easiest way to go. You will find you may need to split the box two or three times to get the spring right, gives a good chance to re-grease and re-shim. In the past I have found CYMA shimming to be OK but grease is a bit hit and miss.
I got a M95 for a CYMA and still had to cut another 5 coils off to get it to 320FPS. They must have really good air seal.
Out of my 4 CYMA's they have all been 420+ out of the box.
Aim to get it in the low 300's for FPS, then you have the ability to toy around with different BB weights.
edit: Out BTW...
Can't wait for week after tho, got some new kit
